Holy crap indeed. Look at how many times he flips without touching the ground.

Screwed up his landing flare.
Should have pulled back on the stick a little more and brought the nose up... |

Abort landing, go around, oh wait!!
I was nervous for him until he got out of the wreck. That car needs a power kill switch like all drags cars have. At least OEM fuel systems shut off the fuel pumps when there is no oil pressure. Keeps the occupants and teh 1st responders safer. It could have been an electric water pump, but it sounded like a fuel pump. Poor wife, imagine his life insurance premiums? |

That 1st hit looked like a real tendon stretcher. Glad he survived it. No matter what the risk factor might be... it takes real tenacity to put the fear aside and keep the pedal down.
Life ins premiums? I doubt a normal policy would cover it. A special policy for the event is probably what he had to buy to get coverage. Given the soundness of the car I would say its a safe bet for the ins company. If he came up short on the ramp speed and didn't clear the landing ramp then its going to be a different story. I doubt that the G forces from that speed would be survivable. It would be similar to sky diving without a chute.

That was totally wicked - sure takes lots of guts to do something like that for sure.
