I had to replace me throttle position sensor on my '95 but unsure how to adjust it. What is the appropriate procedure?
Thanks. |

You need to set the 0 position voltage at about .53-.55v. You do this with ignition ON but motor off. It's easier to do it w a scan tool connected. Can also use digital volt meter. Check your FSM.

Center wire on TPS, should be blue wire, is signal wire. Should have around 0.54 volts at idle, and 4.5 volts at WOT if I recall correctly.
To measure, you can flip back the cover that secures the wires into the connector, use a pick tool to pull the round rubber seal back, and then you'll be able to insert your red (positive) multimeter probe against the metal crimp on the blue wire. Black probe (negative) of meter goes to any engine ground. |
