Has anyone tried a portable navigation under our low-e windshield?
Does the unit have to be placed inder the RD cut out? |

I've had no problem with mine either - used both a Garmin and a Tom Tom unit. Mounted to the windshield by the rear-view mirror.

Thanks.
I am thinking about a unit I could use in multiple cars. |

I concur. No problem with my garmin either.
It needs a minimum of three satellites and seems to get them fine through the sides and back.

Mine worked right under the mirror attending the Vegas event.
