Guys,
Please advise if you know how to resolve the "DA Conecting" error In Tuner Pro. I have the motes USB cable for data logging and the LT5 File posted by one of the members for a 90 ZR1. My computer recognizes the motes cable thus it passes the self test as described in the tuner pro instructions. I have downloaded both 90 LT5 files from tuner pro and this site with the same result. I am aware that many of you use this software so if you can please post a solution it would be greatly appreciated. |

Couple questions..
When you tested the USB connection was it right before you connect to the car? I want to be sure you use the same USB port.. moving it could cause the selected COM port to change. I have tested the ADX for a 1990 on my personal 1990 ZR-1 with both a laptop ont he the ALDLDroid App. we will figure it out, just need some more info

Jeff,
Now that you mentioned I did not test right before connecting to car but, the night before. I will retest port prior to connecting to car and let you know what happens. |

Best guess if you have 2 usb ports stacked, you tested the top one, then used the bottom to connect. most adapters associate tot eh port, not device ( for Serial coms) so each time it plugs into a different USB port it becomes a different com port #

Jeff,
I checked the com port and immediately tried to connect to car. The result is the same "DA Connecting" message. I have attached a photo of my computer screen. Hopefully it will provide some insight. I have the AdX file 8EA-LT5 -complete loaded. Are there any other files required to data log? Last edited by Xdt; 02-20-2017 at 08:17 PM. |

Nope you have the right file. Check the com port setting in the program and check it in the device manager with the cable connected. Just to confirm. Can I get a screen shot of the communication set up?

Jeff, I have attached screenshots as requested. During the process, I noticed that device manager has my USB port as com 4. In TunerPro it was set to com 3. However, the TunerPro states that the cable is found regardless of the port setting 3 or 4, and the port used to physically insert the cable. The photos below show where I have set the sortware to com 4.
Car currently getting tires balanced will try connecting again trying all 4 USB ports to see which one is actually com 4 Thanks again for the assistance |

Try changing the Interface Type to AutoProm/MAFTPro in Preferences. Also, check to see if you have Dual Emulator checked in the Configure Plug In for Emulation section. I was having an issue connecting my Ostrich to my Windows 10 laptop. Cable would connect via the USB port, but TPRT would never see the Ostrich. When I unchecked Dual Emulation, it worked.
