The CAGs is the solenoid used to force a 1st to 4th shilft. It's for emissions. Most of us have them unplugged. Maybe yours was plugged back in when sold?
Anyway this lockout when going in and out can make a clunk.
The CAGs is located on the drivers side of the tranny.
You can check the C beam bolts while under there.
