Now I am getting used to my Z I have started giving it a bit of boot, and the occasional howl I get after revving high seems to be the pilot bushing slipping round. (BB advice). So I am getting a new clutch kit from a very helpful and friendly Carolina clutch, and am getting my local garage to fit it. This is a bit of a gamble, as I live in southern Spain, so they have never seen anything like it before, but they are competant mechanics and I will be there with all the info I got off the register (many thanks, everyone!) and the service manual and my own protective instincts, so I hope all will be well. I have agreed with the garage that I provide all the parts, and they do the job as indicated by me. So the big question is - what other seals or gaskets or anything else might be needed? It would be a disaster if the job could not be finished in one go, as waiting for some new part to arrive just is not on. Could I have suggestions from you all as to what else I should have on hand?
One last question - I have not ordered a new flywheel as I have no reason to believe I need one. In that case, can I replace the pilot bushing without removing the flywheel? Everything runs so smooth at the moment, and I dont want to upset things if I dont need to!
Thanks in advance for your help,
Dick Sanderson
