I was put in a similar "forced retiremen" situation in 1989 and I thought I was not ready for it. Hind site has proven it was one of the best things that could have happened at that point in my life. I've done several things since retirement and none involved stress, and other management headaches...no more corp gamesmanship. My doctors tell me my life style change has added 20 years to my life...I'm now 76. I tell you this and wish your future is as good or better than I've experienced. I want to add that you are in good company with moving to SoCal; In case you don't know this or JVD, Jim VanDorn after he moved his AutoMasters to BG 5 years ago has decided it best for him, the business and his fans (including me) to this part of the US; back to Palm Desert. He will move to the Jefferson St., Fredwaring Dr. area about Nov 1.
