I have been accused of the same ever since I got married (73 Dodge Challenger R/T, 79 Trans Am, 79 Corvette, 84 Corvette, 91 ZR1, 93 BMW 850 CI and finally 94 ZR1). That was 31 years ago.
Solution? Replace the car with another one (could be another ZR-1) and then tell her you changed the car but will never trade her in!
