the stock (91) fx3 shock has a groove cut in the body to allow a snap ring to secure the coil over hardware, so it's a stock fx3 shock actuators go on top of the shock and does the fx3 shock positioning
this stuff will work on the later model cars as long as you use the correct controller (comes with it)
