I had the Z1-900 from Kawi for many years.
You know the one that would piss off all the Harley boyz after the 2 stoke 500 and 750 H1 and H2 models (called "rice burners") already had them mad because the Harleys were slow.
The Z1 was a gerat bike and KOTH in 70's as far as the motorcycle world was concerned. It was the first DOHC 4 stroker from Japan that really became a legacy-legendary motorcycle.
I painted mine Mopar Plum Crazy and called it "Purple Haze".
It was fun to go out on "Wax Patrol" with the Z1 just like it is with our ZR-1 today!
The best part was the great wheelies the Z1 did!!!
That would always wind up the Harley riders tight as a over wound spring!!!
At 125 MPH the vibrations were so bad I could not read the speedo anymore so not much reason to go any faster than that since you could not know what you were doing MPH wise plus the bike felt out of control at that point!
