Thank you guys for explaining it to me.
Ideally, instead of our three chains, we would only have one belt & an idler pulley(s) if the development went in that direction. I guess from looking at the pictures. We have chain tensioners and a belt system would use the idler pulley(s) for that function. Do I get that part?
Therefore when timming the cams if it was one belt you would set all the alignment marks up and release the idler(s) and wait to see how much movement you got so you would know how many teeth to add or subtract to actually get the marks aligned in the tension mode?
