Not sure about that.
Many still buy here ones that are 30 years or older and ship into the EU.
Much better to buy a high quality car to begin with and ship it, than buy a problem child that costs a fortune to fix and still remains a shaggy dog after all of the money, time and work.
Both end up costing about the same once done, but shaggy remains.
