That is total bullsh*t. He's reproducing a sticker. Not only that, there are multiple VIN stampings on the car that identify the vehicle. The sticker just identifies trim. While someone could get into legal trouble for misrepresenting something they are selling in a civil court proceeding, there is nothing illegal about reproducing or even changing the sticker, only in misrepresenting it for financial gain.
