I used a headliner-style sunblocker for the clear top. It has a plastic backing and is held in place by plastic tabs that slide between the lens and the frame. Cannot recommend - in the summer sun the backing heats up and the whole thing sags down on your head. I was forever ?popping? it back in position.

In hindsight, a dot matrix cling film as linked above would be my choice.
