What is involved with installing one of these?[/quote]

ZF, do you want a sticky?

Basically, you need to disassemble the center console, unbolt the shifter from the trans, disassemble the shifter, install the new shifter and reassemble the whole thing. I did mine while I was installing the fidenza and the new clutch (since I had the trans out anyway). It's not too difficult. Some say you need to remove the exhaust (I had mine out anyway), some say you don't.

Make sure that you get one with bearings installed. Most of the Hurst shifters are shipped without bearings. Hurst still has never shipped me bearings. I went third party to the bearing house (AH1010 bearings I believe.) and bought some.
