The dust boot can't realistically be removed without pulling the transmission..

Beam plate installation is easily done without removing anything except the C-Beam bolts.

What "housing" are you trying to remove?

Well, your confusion is my confusion. This is in the C-Beam solutions thread about C-Beam removal. I have the C-Beam out, I am likely going to pull the transmission after a test run with new motor mounts and C-Beam plates, my question is really what am I looking at in this photo, why would it say the seal got installed too early? If I do pull my transmission I take it this seal is in the rear transmission extension housing...or is this seal something else? It just has me confused as I like to have the order of things in my mind before I do them, if I need this seal, when would I install (with trans in or out). Thanks

The FSM says nothing about this in the R/R trans section. Also this does not look like the press in rear oil seal.
