Default Re: Crooked exhaust tips?

I feel your pain! Simple fix tho. Tac weld All of the joints along the entire length of the tubes. The issue is that unless you do, heat cycles combined with (potholes etc) will result in the pipes succumbing to the torque introduced by the lateral weight of the mufflers. Clamps just don't hold long before they slip...and they will slip!

So, once the tips LOOK* right, tac 'em in place "as is"!

*This from an article re aligning iron sights on guns, but applies there to, methinks: "The human eye is very good at detecting angular (and especialy light) variances"
. If the edge of the valence or the optical appearance of the valence compared to the angle (or the appearance) of the twin tips is misaligned, then regardless of what an actual level (used to level the tips) may indicate, arrange the angle of the tips so they LOOK right and WELD all of the joints (ideally) or at least TAC WELD the joints. Otherwise, it's only a matter of time before the tips will sag (twist) down toward the outboard side of the valence.
