Hi NorwegianMopar!

Are you sure your EGR tube is "shot?"
I see the outer heat shield with crimped
solid inside tubing. It all looks secure.
Mark Haibeck taught me that the connector
is called an Oetiker clamp and uses a special
tool to crimp. Interesting to look up.
Removing your EGR system because
you don't need/want the smog option
is another issue.

PS: Looking at your pictures again I think
I see a crack in the outer (heat) shielding.
Is that what you are talking about?
Not a problem, or at most maybe apply
a wrap of heat resistant tape.
