The old carnauba's are often touted for their deep gloss, wet look and warm glow, but today's synthetic's "are there", I think in duplicating all of this.
My old line of thinking would have considered it some kind of sacrilege to do synthetic wax on my special cars...something best left for a daily driver. Not anymore.
If I get wild and have the time, maybe carnauba over synthetic, but for the most part, my time is too valuable to spend the hours that I tend to do on a wax job, only for such short term longevity.
This is especially true if I have gone through the work of a compound and polish, too.
