I can't answer that specifically. But, I can say that the LT5 left Mercury Marine with a TON of potential for HP improvement - beginning with PORTING. 400 at the wheels is not uncommon with top-end porting, exhausts and a dyno tune. And, it still has a stock idle. Not one bit of drivability is sacrificed, including gas mileage. Try that without changing cid a N/A OHV motor!
