Default Re: Wiper motor circuit board

I haven't experienced this issue on my Z but have on 3 different Chevy trucks/vans.

Try this for a repair: remove the circuit board and check the solder tracings on the circuit board where the electrical connector plugs in. I discovered (on the truck circuit boards) hairline cracks in the solder on the circuit board. They can be hard to see but should be visible with a magnifying glass.

If you're handy with a soldering iron, carefully heat up the affected area, apply a small amount of solder to re-tin the break (effectively re-soldering the circuit board), clean up residue, and reinstall. Took less time to repair than removing/replacing in the truck. Don't know if this will work for the Z but if it's similar, it might be the problem. BTW, the connection that was always cracked happened to be the ground connection which helps explain the erratic behavior. Good luck.
