My brother has a Mac and Matco brand and both machines are very proficient at diagnostic data, and cover other specific areas such as airbags and hvac.

The only problem is with the Mac and I'm certain would be the same for Snap On and Matco is this.

The Mac only has been updated to 2005 model years and requires special cartridges for some foreigns that are very expensive. To update to current software model 2014 would require an updated processor which exceeds the cost of a brand new machine.

The Matco requires a yearly contract at around $250 per year.
