Default Re: Seat rebuilding

I just finished a complete rebuild on my 90 seats. I got the leather from ZIP, very high quality, all leather and correct Corvette logo. The rest of the parts including the bladders from Ecklers. Again everything fit. The rebuild included new foam, rebuilt transmissions, replace the pneumatic pump diaphragms and all the plastic trim pieces that were worn or broken.

Installing the leather over the foam is a difficult and physically demanding job. I had one of my guys who is an experienced upholstery guy do most of the work and he said it was a pita. If I were to do it again I think I would send it out to be done. My total cost was around $1400 for parts.
