The 2.75" TP hood is @ 40lbs lighter than our standard hood. Another good point is they vent (read limited) at back of the cowl.
I didn't care for the stand out look of the high rise hood. The low proflie sleeper look is what I personally like. Plus even the low rise T/P blocks some view for us short folk.
This is my experience , your opinion may vary.
