I am the one who got the tranny from chuck. I picked it up in north carolina and he wanted me to wait till I installed it to make payment.

I did install it, and there is MAJOR whine to it in the first 3 gears and in neutral, that seem'd either to be a bearing or something inside the tranny.This whine is LOUD(like it has gears in the engine loud)..I cant imagine a newer tranny would roll of the showroom a whine like this...

HOWEVER, I HAD to go with it temporarly for C@C and was not sure if it would shell out or ???? (I just went through the ringer on 2 transmissions for my truck that were "good")(I really need to build my own tranny's)

Chuck was gracious enough to allow me to make sure it would make it. also he also was not sure what the issue was either.

Due to extreme family situations I have not toached the car but once since BG. But the whine is still a concern.

Due to this issue I asked a bit less for the tranny becuase I may have to send it to Bill to be rebuilt.($600 is great for a tranny that does not have to be rebuilt)

AT THAT moment he replied he had already put it back on the site and other people wanted it....(mind you its still mounted in #00077)..

SOOO..I agreed to pay the full amount because I dont have the time to yank it out and so on..and in the end hopefully it is a great deal for a black tag.



I hope this clears some things up...

6 months is long enough to get something done.

I've got others interested in this transmission.

And I'll STILL forward it to OTHERS for inspection before $$ changes hands, if you're known on the boards here...
