When assembling the spindles and hub/bearing use this GM lubricant #12345879 - It's quite expensive so if you know a GM tech just stop by and say hello and grab a "finger swipe" of the stuff from the can. There's comparable drive-line assembly grease from Spicer but there's always this GM product in the shops.

Use it for assembling anything with a slip/splined fit, pinion flange, transmission slip-yoke and the hub/bearings I mentioned. GM uses it for intermediate steering shaft "clunk" - drive-line "clunk". If you do your own spindle bearings for mowing blades or have a propeller shaft drive of any type it's good stuff to have around.
