If this really comes true then we will see America become a "Social Democracy".
And I am afraid the end of the "American Dream" for future generations.
No longer will others in the world desire our lifestyle as they do now.
Big government will take over all and the middle class will vanish.

Most social democratic parties are affiliated with the Socialist International.
Social democracy advocates the creation of legal reforms and economic redistribution programs to eliminate economic class disparities between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. It advocates the development of an economic democracy and the development of cooperative business organizations as an alternative to private enterprise.

A constitutional republic is a state in which the head of state and other officials are representatives of the people and must govern according to existing constitutional law that limits the government's power over all of its citizens. Because the head of the state is elected, it is a republic and not a monarchy.
In a constitutional republic, executive, legislative, and judicial powers must be separated into distinct branches.
John Adams defined a republic as "a government of laws, and not of men." Constitutional republics attempt to weaken the threat of majoritarianism and protect dissenting individuals and minority groups from the "tyranny of the majority" by placing checks on the power of the majority of the population. The power of the majority of the people is limited to electing representatives who legislate within the limits of an overarching constitutional law that a simple majority cannot modify.
No single individual is allowed to exercise executive, legislative and judicial powers. Instead, these powers are separated into distinct branches that serve as a check and balance on each other. In a constitutional republic, "no person or group [can] rise to absolute power."
The notion of the constitutional republic originates with Aristotle's Politics and his theory of a fifth type of government called the polity. He contrasts the polity of republican government with democracy and oligarchy in book 3, chapter 6 of Politics. Polity can refer to the political organizational system that is being used by a group, be it a tribe, a city-state, an empire, a corporation, etc. Aristotle also envisioned a polity to be a combination of what he thought were the best characteristics of oligarchy (rule by the wealthy) and democracy (rule by the poor). The polity government would be ruled by the many in the best interests of the country.
Also, a representative democracy may or may not be a constitutional republic. For example, "the United States relies on representative democracy, but [its] system of government is much more complex than that. [It is] not a simple representative democracy, but a constitutional republic in which majority rule is tempered by minority rights protected by law."
Karl Marx claimed that a constitutional republic is a protective legal framework for what he considered to be "capitalist exploitation."

We Have a Republic, Not a Democracy … Get It Right or Get Out
A direct democracy slides into mob rule which, when the overthrow of the government is complete, becomes Socialism/Marxism/Communism. We, the people, those faithful to the inspirational words of our founding fathers, must now fight against injustice, miseducation and the masses of a mob rule which does not care about our rights. The government is not there to provide services to its citizens. Thomas Jefferson, in the Declaration of Independence, said, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” It’s a self-evident truth that we have those rights and we institute a government to protect those rights.
What is government? It’s how we are with each other and if one person in a society is trampling on the rights of another, it’s the duty of the government to step in and protect those rights and that’s it. We have a Representative Republic, not because the Republicans ‘stand for rich, old, white people’ but because it truly is the best form of government. Take my word for it … I used to be a Democrat because I believe in democracy, but the people of the world cannot take on the responsibility of mob rule without trampling the rights of the people … at least not at this time in history.
