The Volt would have come out either way and it was the right play to make. It is the kind of technology we need. I'm not really sure you use gas in your car. But have you been to the pump lately? And did you know that the stuff we call "gas" comes from outside the US? I know that's all Obama's fault too but bare with me.
Lets' say it together.
The sky has fallen
The sky has fallen
The sky has fallen
GM took a risk and now
The sky has fallen.
gezzz

The sky has fallen , oh my
The sky has fallen.
This is all Bush's fault. The development of the Volt as well as the collapse of the real-estate market happened under Bushes nose while he sat around looking for WMDs and reading books to 1st graders.
The almost TRILLION dollars wasted (oh and yah tax payers money) looking for non existent WMDs could well have been spent elsewhere.
(disclaimer: I do know that the development of the Volt is not Bush's fault, just trying to draw comparisons to blaming Obama for every ill in the country)

Yah, we don't need to worry about the planet. That's a great plan.
What is all the "green" stuff anyway. Must be another Obama failrue right? There will be plenty of gas forever. We can continue thinking like cavemen and let the future generations deal with it.
Sounds like a plan Bush would have come up with.

And how dare that Obama guy try to help promote and get the economy going by getting people to spend money. He should encourage people to hoard their money and stay hidden away scared to come out, like others do. All the while claiming "The sky has fallen"

Name calling is a forte of the feeble mind. I guess we should call the twin tower memorial the "Bush Park".
Oh, I see all war hero's make good elected officials. That's the same kind of reasoning as "hey let's go look for WMDs" is.
Just because one is a true war hero does not qualify for being a President. The voters agree, sorry. That war is as much of a black spot on this country as Bush and his search for Bin Ladin and WMDs.

Look finger pointing and complaining about the Volt is useless. I applaud the effort that went into the Volt. The technology will move forward even if all the negative articles about the Volt keep coming.
There's plenty of examples of that. Take the computer by Apple called the "Lisa". A total economic failure and yet that technology lead to the Mac and that failing company call Apple is now one of the world's largest not just largest in the US.

Some say the glass is half empty
Some say the glass is half full
Others claim the glass is totally empty and full of poison at the same time.
I choose to say the glass is the answer. It can be filled with many good things and I don't even have to call it a derogatory name.

I think I've made my point about pointing fingers and calling names.
I'm letting this go now.
Something libs never seem to understand... Private enterprise takes risks on new products at their own peril. Socialist/centrists take risks with other people's money. There is a BIG difference.
