Re: tire selection
I ran the Khumos on my '92 ZR-1. I felt they were a good road tire, better autocross tire and good in the rain.
On my '95 I have the Nitto 555, and after 2,500 miles I think it's a great road tire. I haven't been in the rain or autocross, but that's not the plan for this car.
When I purchased both cars, they came out of California and had Sumitomos on them. I did not like the Sumis, and if you are an "aggressive" driver from time to time, you will not like the Sumis either. Sumis are good if you just want a tire that "fits" the ZR-1, albeit the rear tire looks small.
