Eric, I would ask a favor from JVD and ask him to call that dealer and see if a bit of professional courtesy could be leveraged to get some answers to your Q's......worth a shot, no?

I just thought maybe someone tried to wash/clean the motor and it turned that color...maybe not. The brakes look stock to me as well, will try to get some answers on the car today.
I might ask JVD, I will see him in a few hours...Going to the Corvette Homecoming in a few minutes to hang out and see what is going on....
