^^^ I've seen that article/ don't believe everything you read- as I have had both sets of pipes- The 3" B&B with an X pipe is good for about 1 mph more in the 1/4 mile over the Corsa on a car with stock cats, lightly ported, low 400hp LT5 at sea level (my car).
The 2.5" Corsa cuts better and more consistent 0-60 times though. With headers, the story might be different again, but the B&B was just too loud to even consider keeping, even at the expense of about 10hp on the top end of the power band.
Maybe it was because my acceleration testing was done on different days, but the peak HP will go to the 3" pipe. I've seen this on more than just the LT5. ET-wise, the 2.5" is just as good as far as I can tell.
some day I would like to run a 2 5/8's pipe set custom made.
