I'd like to ask one of the scientists at the EPA why adding ethanol to gas was such a good idea in the first place? What was the benefit with regards to emissions? Why can't methanol be used in stead if this alcohol additive idea is so great?
sorry, I just don't get the line of reasoning that yielded this ethanol conclusion as the "answer" to the emissions issue.
