Keep in mind that just because a dealership sold ZR-1's. it does not mean they have mechanics trained or certified to work on an LT5. Many parts on a ZR-1 are standard C4 issue, and any competent mechanic can effect repairs (assuming you want to pay through the nose). However the engine is a different story, and even experienced Corvette mechanics do not want to touch them. I understand if you do not want to do the work yourself, but you would probably be better served to find a ZR-1 mechanic and let him do the work. It will be done right, and typically for less money.
