Just let everyone know that when your interior lights dim that it means that one of your Courtesy light fuses has blown. Replaced the fuse and everything was ok.

Yes. I left the pad on and wrapped around that. That kept it very soft as well.

Its pretty simple. Use some carpet glue on the cover. What's nice is the underneath of that door comes off so you can fold the Alcantara under then screw that piece back on to hold it on...
