Does the roller bearing pilot bushing require any special lubrication, or does it just go in as is?

Re: Clutch "flare"
So I attempted to order the shims needed in order to use the Centerforce clutch disk as recommended in the Marc Haibeck article. I ordered from McMaster-Carr figuring they would be a stand up company...

Re: Clutch "flare"
Have any of you ever attempted to replace a clutch with the car on jack stands? There's no real surprises here, are there? just a heavy transmission.
Remove exhaust, remove C-beam and drive shaft,...

Re: Clutch "flare"
Thanks! That article is exactly the information I’m looking for.
How does one determine the difference between needing just a new friction disk and needing a new flywheel and pressure plate too?

Re: Clutch "flare"
If the flywheel is ok and just needs a little scotch brite, then only the other components could be replaced? Any opinions on this set up?

Clutch "flare"

Re: Code 41 = new ECM?
I thought module 4 was ECM as it reads “Err†when not communicating with the CCM, which it was doing when this started. That went away after cleaning contacts.
The vacuum hose is still...

Re: Code 41 = new ECM?
Does it matter if it’s running or not? I check with it not running.
When it is running it idles at about 2000 rpm and stumbles and dies if you try to drive.

Re: Code 41 = new ECM?
Yes, under category 1 I get a C12 then the 3 dashes - - - then under category 4 I get H41 then the 3 dashes - - -.
To you, that indicates a healthy ECM?

Re: Code 41 = new ECM?
No coolant code. That one went away after the first time I completely disconnected the ECM and blew out the terminals. Just the 41 on the ECM codes now. The CCM codes give a C12 which I believe means...

I disconnect the battery with each thing I try.
Is there...
