Re: Coolant tank emitting faint smell?

Marty- as you suggested, I took my kit and brought the pressure up to 14 and let it sit for 30 minutes. No, pressure drop and no leaks.

Good news, but it is still baffeling.

Thanks for the...

Coolant tank emitting faint smell?

Hey all, I have a question on my '91 with 93k on it. The car runs great and I'm very good about maintenance. This is a question about a faint (faint) coolant smell.

A bit of "base line:" The...

Re: Items to look at with a 100K commuter car

Thanks for the advise and I changed out the radiator in March '23 and about 3k miles ago. All fresh fluids. I also put Jerry's gaskets hoses on several years ago.

Re: Items to look at with a 100K commuter car

Thanks Marty for the boost of confidence. I'm going to give this a try (being smart) and see how it goes. I drive on forecasted nice days and never set out in the rain or storm on purpose.

Items to look at with a 100K commuter car

Hey all, I'm considering doing a "daily driver-- light" on my '91 with 92k on her. My commute would be 50 miles a day with a 50/50 highway and city.

The car is in excellent condition with a lot of...

Re: FX3 system showing all codes.... what?

Excellent point and the probable solution. While reading codes for the FX3, I did open the panel box behind the seat and wiggle the connection. The cable was a lettle stretched and I was able to push...

Re: Looking for 1991 drive side door grab handle

Thanks- it is a great piece and I'll consider it. However, it does not have the letters stenciled for mirror control. I see lots of these OE parts and am confused as why mine has lettering and the OE...

Re: Power washing undercarriage- what to look for

I'm interested, but don't really have an idea of how it works. I always heard that one must stay away from the top of the engine (plennum area) as liquids under the plennum can really mess things up.

Re: DeWitts "Direct Fit" seems too thick to fit- what am I missing?

Re: DeWitts "Direct Fit" seems too thick to fit- what am I missing?

I spoke to DeWitts and they are a stand up organization and will refund my money.

So, I'm going to have to "ride dirty" and go with a plan B radiator.

Any recommendation-- and part number-- of...
