Paul,
Hope I'm not too late to this -- I sent you a PM. I'm the owner of one of the cars listed above.

Leaking side window seals after windshield replacement
I recently had my windshield replaced by Safelite. The windshield installation itself looks fine, but the weatherstrip at the front edge of the side windows now leaks when it rains. I'd prefer to fix...

Re: Aux input on CDM / receiver?
I determined that the hiss/static is coming from all four speakers, so either the amps are working fine or they're all degraded in a very similar way. The static is always a constant low volume, it's...

Re: Aux input on CDM / receiver?
I'm reserving judgment on the sound quality because I seem to have one or more bad amplifiers (which seem to affect basically everyone with this Bose system sooner or later.) I'm getting some...

Re: Aux input on CDM / receiver?
Here's my CDM, with an aux input installed by Factory Car Stereo Repair of Longwood, FL. I would have preferred to just do the work myself since it uses about two dollars worth of parts and cost $100...

Re: Aux input on CDM / receiver?
I'll give that a try. I did find a few threads over there that had been started and abandoned without much information being posted.
For reference, here's the setup that I had in mind:

Aux input on CDM / receiver?
It looks like there are a few car radio repair businesses that offer the service of adding a 3.5 mm auxiliary input jack to the Bose CDM / receiver box. Has anyone here had this done?
I'm very...

Re: Top end clatter / lifter tick?
Well, this is anti-climatic, but I just started the car... and the noise is gone. Right from startup, the engine sounded fine with a normal idle.
It's been almost a week since I last started it,...

Re: Top end clatter / lifter tick?
Thanks everyone for your input. It sounds like my best course of action now is a combination of warmer weather, lower-viscosity oil, perhaps more Marvel, and longer runtime to really allow the oil to...

Re: Top end clatter / lifter tick?
I forgot to mention that I did add about 1/2 quart of MMO to the fresh oil, and let the engine run for about 15 minutes on the most recent start. No change in the sound.
I've only started the...

Yes, the tick follows the engine speed. It will increase in rate if I bring the revs up past idle. The idle is smooth. Engine never stumbles, and doesn't sound like it's missing.
A couple of you...

Top end clatter / lifter tick?
Hi all,
I'm a new owner of a stock '95 car with 26K miles. I took delivery in early January, and I've tried to start and run the car every few weeks to circulate fluids, etc.
The last time I...
