Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator keeps failing

The FPR is failing internally, allowing fuel to move from the supply side back into the plenum through the FPR's vacuum line.

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator keeps failing

I use Conoco 91 octane exclusively. Almost any other fuel and it will ping. I don't use any other additives.

Fuel Pressure Regulator keeps failing

I'm on my 4th one now. Any ideas why?

I've discussed with Marc H and he has never heard of this problem. When it fails, it leaks fuel back through the vacuum line, into the plenum, and all over...

Re: Why don't they start right up?

Mine starts within 2 seconds tops. After reading the thread about the vapor canister, I just got a new one and am going to change it this weekend. We'll see if it changes anything.

My '91

The only mods from stock are in the exhaust system. One of the previous owners gutted the catalytic converters (which took a while to figure out) and since I have to pass the smog test here in...

Re: New to the forum/site

It's been there and to Breckenridge several times for Vettes on the Rockies. It still runs like a scared rabbit at 12,000 ft.
