Re: Seat conversion...

I put '96 sport seats into my '90. I absolutely love them. As I recall, they were just plug and play for the position controls. I didn't bother with the lumbar controls because I never used them.

Re: Potential ZR-1 owner with some questions.

1). Would a ZR-1 be a good daily driver?

I drive mine almost every day that it is not raining and I love it. I work in two different cities, one of my drives is 30 miles, the other is ~60. I've...

Re: WTB: PCV Upper and Lower Hoses

Thank you for the offer. I really need both together. Looks like I'll probably be going with Kurt White's.

WTB: PCV Upper and Lower Hoses

I'm looking for upper and lower PCV hoses if anyone has a used set in good shape to sell or a new set.

Fluidyne Radiator ?

I bought a Fluidyne radiator on e-bay and I'm planning to install it this weekend if I have time. But, I have a question... For the connection to the coolant reservoir, there is a threaded outlet...

Re: Where to buy clutch slave and clutch master cylinder?

I replaced my master cylinder a couple of weeks ago (I know...I should have done the slave too; but I'm planning headers in the near future and thought I'd just have it done...but I digress). I got...

Re: Recomendations on Headers?

I'm wondering about that, too. The OBX headers just seem like such a good deal...if they go on okay.

Re: Thanks to the List!

That's absolutely right, for some reason I got the term "list" stuck in my mind for online "forums". I think it is from using listserv over the years...

Re: Weird (?) AC problem

Wow...I can't believe that I never posted the solution to my problem.. It's kind of funny that I'm doing it in the middle of winter!

The entire issue turned out to be a bad connector to the...

Talking Thanks to the List!

Last weekend, I got to have a day off (a rare occasion) and I spent the whole day working on the Z with my dad. With the help of a number of posts, we replaced the water pump and my idler pulley...

Re: Tire recommendations

I put Sumitomo HTR Zs on my 90 a couple of months ago. The things said in other threads about these tires were very accurate. They don't grip as well as the factory tire, but they ride much better....

Re: LT5/auto in a C3 feasibility?

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. It's such a tough call. I'm guessing that the LS swap is much easier. Can you keep the analogue gauges with the LS? As strange as it seems, part of my...

LT5/auto in a C3 feasibility?

Anyone got thoughts of doing an LT5 with automatic transmission in a C3? I recently bought a '73 coupe that I'm crazy about. But, the L48 just isn't cutting it. Given that I love the LT5...

Re: How old are the ZR-1 owners?

I'm 30. I was 28 when I bought the car. I'm looking forward to a long relationship with the ZR-1 because I tend to get attached to my vehicles. My dad bought me a new truck when I was 14 (a 1993...

Re: Leaky Radiator

I finally got time to work on my leaky radiator a couple of Saturdays ago.. I replaced my thermostat with a NAPA THM124. I put on about 250 miles without really pushing the car and found that the...

Re: Leaky Radiator

Thanks! I'll check both out.

I'm leaning toward the bypass feature of the thermostat b/c my leak is happening at high rev. I'd say 5500 to 6500 RPM.

Leaky Radiator

On Friday, I spent some time trying (yet again) to troubleshoot my rough idle. I should have known better, given that it was the 13th! No luck... I was shut down early because of another issue.

Re: Rough Idle/Hesitation/Backfire

The issue is deeper than rough idle. It is a hesitation in the ~1500 to 2200ish RPM range.

Pete, you guessed right about the plugs. Am I correct in assuming that I've gone wrong with these? ...

Re: Weird (?) AC problem

I'll check the pressure switches. Also, the next time it quits on me, I'll give the motor a good wack and see if it picks back up!

Re: Rough Idle/Hesitation/Backfire

Thanks for all the advise! At idle the spark sounds "loud and clear"... Does anyone know if there is a way to test the ECM before I send it off to have it rebuilt?

Weird (?) AC problem

Along with the hesitation issues I've been fighting, I've also got a weird AC issue.

From time to time, my AC will just cut out altogether. A real pain here in the south where it can get pretty...
