Steering shaft rag joint

Looks like the steering shaft and rag joint may be a ZR-1 specific part? At least it looks a lot different than our 88. Is it shared with anything else?

I'm getting some play that appears to be in the rag joint or the universal just below it.

You have an email. With my next event coming Sat I really hope yours is already off the car. "Hello, Federal!"

I think it's the rivets, that means these just became a consumable. I'll try stouter stuff on the one I pull out.

Thanks, Johnny. Maybe I can run Saturday after all.

I haven't got it apart yet but it sure looks like the rivets to me. Funny how the entire shaft is different from our 88, looks like the heavier stuff would have fit just fine - maybe the stock exhaust manifold (which I've never seen) was in the way.

Best,
- Jeff

Ha! Yes I did, on Saturday. Damn was it hot out, didn't see even a wisp of a cloud until around 3pm.

I'll put the update in the BSP build thread, but I sure want to thank you for getting this right out to me.

Cheers,
- Jeff
