Porsche 924/944/968/928 Main Bearings
 

I need to check the thickness, but Pete and I were talking and its one potentital source for our main bearings could be the Porsche 924/944/928. The main bearing size is 69.49-69.99, but best of all price ranges from $85-304 for a complete set. Our bearings are 70MM


I will also order a bearing catalog and see if there are any close matches, the goal is to get a bearing set that are around $200-300 range and avoid the LT-5 tax if possible.

alot of folks have talked about rebuilding and recoating the factory bearing shells. seems like this would be a fairly easy thing to do.

many times the bearings are in pretty good shape.

kurt made up some bearings, and nelson engines is talking about another bearing option.

so far my old LSV is holding together pretty good. did a few 7k pulls today to clear it out!!:mrgreen:
