Antenna Mast Replacement
 Well Its been one of those weeks. I have been stuck in training classes all week. As im heading to my office to grab my lunch the automated gate swing arm goes fritzy after reading my smart cart for entry and slams down the gate arm before my car fully clears. End result a rear antenna is almost completely snapped off however no other damage. How much is it going to cost to replace and how hard is the job to do to replace the entire antenna system? Thanks for the help GC

Re: Antenna Mast Replacement
Another case of magnetic sensors not respecting the fiberglass skin if our Corvettes?

Re: Antenna Mast Replacement
Daryll, thankfully the access to the antenna is a lot better on the ZR-1 compared to the coupe. You can access everything just laying on your back in the garage. I have some mast kits on hand. 26.00

Re: Antenna Mast Replacement
I can't personally speak to mast replacement on the '90-'95's, yet, but it was relatively easy to replace the antennae motor and mast on my '85 coupe. Just remove the rear wheel and the wheel well cover, and you'll have plenty of room to work...plenty of room with respect to the amount of room a person usually has when working other locations of a Corvette. You'll also have the opportunity to do some cleaning/detailing in a seldom seen area.

Re: Antenna Mast Replacement
don't have to remove the wheel for just mast replacement. can all be done from up top.
