Chip info
anybody have information on which chip would be best for different applications? for example, i bought a genaric prom from exotic muscle that claimed a modest 12hp gain. but i have headers, B&B exhaust, and a light weight fly wheel. also i have heard of people programming their own chips??? is there some information on this somewhere?

Re: Chip info
i did my own for all my cars, Chris. i can help you out, if you need, but your probably better off going to Haibeck, not many better, closer to you anyways. i'm flat out building engines these days, PROM's aren't my main gig, ya know.

You should start here if you are really interested in learning. http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/di...uide-book.html My car went through the same "evolution" yours has. Prior to P&P earlier last winter, I had put Watson's, Fidanza and B+B exhaust so I could have a calibration that would be compatible BUT, all tuning is a compromise unless its done specifically for your car using datalogs scanned on your vehicle. The fact that you're in Utah suggests that, due to "thinner air", your motor operates in different areas of the VE and SA tables mine does. |
