The ZR-1 Net Registry Posting Contest

The ZR-1 Net Registry Forum will be conducting a contest for the most posts by a member during the month of August.

The winner will receive a Limited Edition brass ZR-1 key chain (link below).

http://www.zr1.net/ZR1netstore/index.html

The following rules will apply.

1) You must register on the forum with an ID. Guest posts will not be counted.

2) You must list your location in the space provided in your profile. If you are already registered but do not have your location listed, go into your profile and put it in the space provided. Your state will suffice if you do not wish to list your city.

3) Starting August 1st you must post in the thread (provided link below) to establish your post count at that point, and it will confirmed by the administration comparing the databases record for posts starting that morning. For example poster XYZ will see the number of existing posts he has and post that number plus 1 in the thread. If he has 10 posts, he will post his start number at 11. In this way every poster establishes the number they start with, that way the contest is fair. So even if you only have 5 posts, you will be starting even with someone who already has 55 posts. The winner will be the person who has the most posts within the month, not the highest overall post total. The contest will run from 12:01am 8/01/05 until midnight 8/31/05.

4) You will be free to start threads and/or post as much as you like in the appropriate section. However, you cannot conduct conversations with yourself. For example, you cannot in one post ask a question, then turn around and answer your own question. [-X

5) A post must consist of at least 5 words. For example if you wish to greet a new member you cannot just post the word "welcome", but rather must say something like "Hello & welcome to the forum". Or, if you were to comment on a persons car in the Members Rides section, you cannot just say "cool", but rather say something akin to "those rims look very cool". You can use as many smilies as you wish, but they will not count as words.

6) Everyone who is registered on the forum is eligible to win with the exception of Dave, Larry, or myself. The winner will be determined, announced, and notified within three days of the contest ending.

If there are any questions feel free to post them here.

GOOD LUCK

JIM

Ok guys, we are about to start the contest at 12:01am 8/01/05. If you have not registered, I suggest you do so ASAP so that your posts will count towards the contest.

Good luck!

The link for the initial post is for this thread. Do we post our first post on this thread and then we are free to post anywhere else?

Number 30

Ideally yes.

Although we can check it another way, posting with your starting number here is the easiest way for us to see the number totals.

Initial post count: 31 including this post.

Heheh, thanks! I actually have two of those keychains already, though. :) I bought one when I got my first 'vette about 8 years ago (an '87 Z51) because it was the only corvette keychain I could find that separated. Now I have a second one that came in the 1990 owners kit my wife just bought me. :D

Why do some have L98, LT1 vs LT5 under their names?
