Cam covers? Something not right.

Looking on ebay there is a set of Cam covers posted, only thing is they don't have any cover bolt holes, only holes for plugs, anyone know the scoop. Is this from a mock up? I emailed owner, they weigh about 8/9 pounds each. :dontknow:

Defects.

Bolt holes not drilled, oil fill cap not drilled and threaded. The inside the cam bores have not be bored for the camshafts. Spark plug holes were not bored out either.

Mercruiser tossed them into the scrap pile.
