Are these available anymore? mines a bit raggedy........a new one would be nice.

Checked on Ecklers website.....they have what looks like a box with a top for the battery listed for 84-96. Mine is just a foam piece, no top. Do you know a part number....or the EXACT name of the part?

i gotta think you can get these from G.M. they came on a lot of different vehicles. maybe diesel pick-up's. my family used to own an auto detail company & we mostly did dealer's used stuff, mostly G.M.. i've washed thousands of engine compartments & i seem to recall they weren't all that uncommon.

I think I remember seeing just the foam surround at Corvette Central.com....I think it was them, or maybe it was over at MAMW?

I am sure it wasn't at Ecklers. I ran across it when I was looking for the battery hold down brkt & bolt.....yea mine was missing:cry:

This is the battery cover I have and it's a very good piece. I think it does a good job of protecting the vacuum hoses from acid vapor deterioration. I had & have also read where others experienced deteriorated vacuum hoses in the area of the battery. Looks OEM, if there ever was such a thing. Item# 28849

Here's one for a C5 that sound like what everyone is describing. I' don't know what would make it exclusively applicable to only the C5. Should fit the C4 battery too. Item #42899

This cover for the C5 is very close to what came on our cars from the factory.

i am surprised to read that a lot of z are missing the battery holddown brkt & bolt,as mine is missing too...must be a pita to reinstall,i guess
