Northern Illinois ZR-1 Show??
 

I know that I'm a newbie here, but I've noticed a lot of guys in the Chicagoland area. Therefore, I'd like to somehow get a meet going with other ZR-1 guys in the area.

Obviously with snow everywhere, it's not going to be anytime soon, but this also gives us time to get something together.

Maybe something involving Marc Hiabeck's shop? Maybe just a small meet at a restaurant with our LT5-powered brothers?

I could even give it some press because I write luxury car reviews for Clubline Chicago magazine and I'm the sports editor for a Lake County newspaper.

Any ideas? Is this possible? Talk to me!

Dan,

We have a ZR-1 group that meets for pizza in Mount Prospect or in Addison. =Jeff= usually organizes it. Just drop him or me a line. We're always happy to add another member to the group. BTW, new guy buys the pizza. :mrgreen:

We could all hit the Lombard show this summer eat the in-laws restaurant(Texan BBQ), mother-in law also stated we could also use her restaurant in Algonquin for a Sunday Breakfast if we wanted to put one together, we would have the place to ourselves, just need to get one of the cooks to come in.

I heard pizza is bad for you, Smoked Meats and Texas style Chili is much better:wink:

Dan - There are at least two more with Z's that live close to you - one in Grayslake and one in Antioch. Food is always good - But lets not forget the beer that goes well with Pizza. :cheers:

I might be able to make it up occasionally from downstate. I actually drove mine yesterday! (trying to minimize the tire flat spots from sitting all winter) Gotta love IL, it was upper 60's yesterday afternoon, and snowing again tonight :rolleyes:
