Sorry to miss hooking up with you guys. Got back in town late Saturday afternoon after 15 days and ~5,000 miles (averaged 24 mgh for the trip) in "The Beast". What a GREAT road car...!!!

Would have been great to meet you too, but there's always next time - "I'll be back" :). Have to agree - a fantastic road car! The only problem I had was that I never wanted to stop! :wink:

Wait just one minute. I wasn't looking at your Z I was looking at your beautiful wife to be!!!:mrgreen: I never did get a chance to show you that WHITE Z's are faster than the everyday black (or red) ones.......All in all, we had a wonderful time with you two:handshak: :thumbsup:

Actually I have to thank Bob for that too - he scooted out to our hotel with a plethora of cleaning gear to help after our drive down and even helped clean! As my 'future wife' put it - "what a gent!"

long distance rides got me started on the love affair with the car.

first day I drove one I went 700 miles. been on the road ever since.

I think I now have about 50k miles total spread against 4 ZR-1s. every one of them is a really special car.

Long trips in the car is what its all about. Davek - you broke one of my rules - you worked out you're total bills;) If you asked me how much gas I put in mine on a week long trip through Europe, I really wouldnt have a clue and with the cost of gas over here thats probably a good thing.

I didn't really work it out - it was just a rough guess - if I still lived in England I probably couldn't afford the gas... and I know I wouldn't have been able to afford the ZR-1!
