Time for new sun visors

Anybody bought the aftermarket sun visors, anything negative about the quality? I have a NOS set but can't see putting them in the car if they will eventually fall apart. This may be one of those instances where an aftermarket part my be better than the original. Thanks for any info.

I was fortunate to find a guy doing C5,6 and 7 visors in leather. Asked if he could do a C4. He said he would and I sent him my visors so he could make a template and he did them in leather. Don't know if he would do more but that took care of my visor dog ears issues.

I bought repros recently. They differ from OE in that they don?t have the flappy ?ear? on the outboard side that always hangs down, broken, on the stock ones. They also don?t have the warning stickers on the vanity mirrors. The articulation is pretty notchy when you fold them down or swivel them. Overall, acceptable for $35 if originality isn?t a consideration, but I would have paid $50 if they were nicer and more accurate.

I need new ones also, curious where @conesare2seconds found them for $35. I saw some on Amazon for $70, and most of the catalog stores are ~$150.
As OP says, I'd like some that look original but last longer!

I bought a second set from Amazon, the quality is better than the set I got off eBay.

I?ll have to dig out the invoice. The ones I got are lighted with the vanity mirrors, but I don?t think I paid $150.

If the cloth on the visor is still good looking, but the problem is the "droopies" of the end flaps, simply carefully remove the mirror assembly partially and insert an old credit card ( or a current one for a real emergency ) or something similarly sized to "restore" the strength to the flap and re- install the mirror.

Solid idea at least as a temporary fix. Mine are a little shabby in general, but I'm going through more functional stuff first.

Here's what is a bit disappointing. I had a set of NOS sun visors I've had for years. When I pulled them out of the box they were crap, just as bad as the set that was in the car for years. The set I got off Amazon are excellent, every once in awhile an aftermarket part actually looks good and the set was less than $100 shipped.
