Thanks for sharing.
Any thoughts on having 4:10s versus something like 3:73s? I?d think you would be driving some highways and 6th gear is more usable with a change from the stock 3:45s. I would be interested in your thoughts on this. Thanks. |

My opinion. I think a lot of owners would agree, 3:73 gears in even a lightly modified ZR-1 is a complete waste. I made that mistake myself. It is not a big enough change from stock to notice the difference. 4:10 gears is the best way to go, in a stock, lightly, or more modified Z. You'll feel the difference in all gears. 6th gear becomes more useful on the interstate, even though the car will run cooler in 5th gear at speeds 75 or below. Ask around I haven't heard of anyone suggesting 3:73's anymore.
